t0 · one session, recorded

One session, recorded.

A scan is a visit played forward in time with a recorder running. We open your page in a real browser, let the banner appear, make a choice, and keep recording. Five positions on the tape; every one shown below is a real capture from the demo site, with its scan id and time.

1 · before you choose

Before you choose

Before anyone has clicked anything, we record everything the page does on its own: every network request and the origin it went to, every cookie set, every write to local storage. This is the moment most banner dashboards never see, because the dashboard only knows what the banner was told.

2 · the choice

The choice

We look for the banner and its controls the way a visitor would — the visible buttons, the layered "manage" screens, the controls inside shadow roots — and we operate the real control, not a script that pretends to. Three paths are recorded from the same starting point: accept, reject, and no choice at all.

3 · after you accept

After you accept

Consent given. We record what loads now: which vendors arrive, which cookies appear, which signals change. This column is the one your marketing stack expects to see.

4 · after you say no

After you say no

Consent refused. We record what loads now, the same way, and set it beside the accept column. The banner says the choice was respected; the network is the fact-check.

Sometimes we can't operate a control we can see. When that happens we say so, and the stage is excluded from the counts — an honest "could not determine" instead of a silent wrong click.

5 · consent signals

Consent signals

Your setup talks to the page in signals: an IAB TCF string, Google Consent Mode state, the Global Privacy Control header a browser may send. We read each one as the page emitted it at each moment and set it beside what the traffic did. Signal present, signal state, behaviour aligned — three levels, each shown on its own; the fourth, what it means legally, is not ours to make.

6 · what we don't do

What we don't do

  • We don't decide whether behaviour is lawful. Level four is out of scope by design; it belongs to you and your counsel.
  • We don't claim to know every vendor or every banner. What we recognise today is published, with a date, and it grows.
  • We don't fold errors into good news. A scan that couldn't complete tells you it couldn't complete; a control we couldn't operate is marked "could not determine", never guessed.

7 · the free tier

The free tier

A free scan is a single session of your site with the three paths above, the four-state results and the report, in your account. Fair-use limits apply. Paid plans are coming soon; the pricing page lists what each one adds.
